Why are you the best candidate for this position

I am a penultimate law student at the University of Lagos, and I am excited to apply for the Marketing & Sales assistant remote internship. Within the last 1 year, I have worked with 4 educational start-up organizations in different capacities, and the experiences have made me develop an entrepreneurial spirit; and an interest in strategy and operations. In one of the initiatives, I worked as the Publicity Strategy Team Lead, and my official role was to create a publicity plan that would achieve 4,000 registrations in 3 months for the Masterclass programs that was supposed to launch in March 2020. While formulating a strategy, I did an analysis of similar organizations and the demographics we were aiming for. Based on the analysis, I was able to determine the best value proposition to offer, and the publicity approach to employ. I pitched my strategy to the CEO and the rest of the team, and was given the green light to implement it. At the end of the 3-month timeline, registration numbers were 50% higher than the target given. In this role, I got to perform business analysis, formulate strategy, write content, create content using canva and lead a team, but most importantly, I realized how critical understanding your audience is for effective selling.

I have also gained sales and customer service skills through my experience as the B2C Sales Manager in AIESEC. Within the 3 years that I have been in the B2C Sales team, I succeeded in securing partnerships with 10+ countries to provide global internship opportunities for youths in Nigeria. I also facilitated the internship experiences of 20+ people by ensuring compliance with every standard of procedure and exchange-policy provided by AIESEC.

I am looking for a place where I can develop not only my professional skills, but grow personally. I am particularly excited by this role because it would require me to challenge myself to do more, and build strong relationships with diverse and intelligent members of the team. I would love to take up the challenge and I look forward to making impact through my work. Thank you.
