About the company

Our company was founded in 1999 as a company that extracts text information from MS-Office and PDF files and has a history of more than 21 years. From around 2014, we started software development in the new business domain of autonomous traveling robots in Tsukuba, and we are continuing to develop technology for new businesses to this day. We have experience in accepting overseas trainees from Turkey, China, South Korea, Russia, Germany, and France.

Role

You will work on part of the process of developing autonomous robots.
You will learn spatial range measurement and moving position correction technology, learn software technology in C language and gain insight into the possibilities of developing automation technology.
Throughout the internship, you will build an environment where software can operate, create a spatial map, experiment whether it can be used for location information correction, and summarize it into a report.

Note: The duration of the program will be 12 weeks, the starting date and end date of the internship is not fixed, it can be negotiated with company in the selection process.

Responsibilities

-Connect LIDAR and IMU to Raspberry Pi and connect development hardware.
-Create a program to check if the sensor can operate in C language.
-Combine LIDAR with the library to create a spatial map.
-Acquire the movement position information obtained from the IMU, and investigate and confirm the position information correction.
-Create a report in English of the results of system development and confirmation experiments.

LIDAR, IMU and Raspberry Pi do not need to be returned after the internship and are provided free of charge.
You will have regular meetings with the Accepting Organization and AIESEC in Hosting LC to discuss and achieve your goals of this internship.

Process

Before the internship starts, we will set up a preliminary task to select the LIDAR and IMU that can be attached to the Raspberry Pie to confirm your ability. Also, you will be asked to verbally explain what kind of program you have made in C language so far.
The overall selection process will take around 1.5 months.
