About the company

Our company has been in the business of selling lacquer for over 400 years. Currently, our share of lacquer sales in Japan exceeds 40%. We would like to get more recognized for the goodness of lacquer and experience the satisfaction and healing properties of lacquer. We manage not only lacquer but also any other materials used in the industry. We would like the participant to gather information on Chinese people's lacquer consumption trends to expand lacquer sales to China or the country in Sout

Role

Overview

The company expects the participant to be interested in lacquer and marketing and willing to learn. The participant will learn about the host company’s industry, corporate philosophy, and products. After that, s/he will research the host company’s industry position in China and their home country, survey users, and determine what products are selling well. The participant will report back to the employees on the survey results and what they have learned throughout the internship.

Responsibilities

1. The student will learn about the host company's industry and products. The student will learn how the industry is currently growing in Japan. Also, the student will learn about the host company's corporate philosophy, its passion for the products it sells, and its unique management methods and products.
2. The student will research the market situation of the lacquer industry in China and the student's home country. The student will also investigate how many people are interested in lacquer in China and in the student's home country.
3. The survey will examine how much and in what situations lacquer is used in China and the student's home country. The student will also investigate what users want from lacquer products and what they would like to see improved. 
4. The student will prepare a report on market research based on training content 2 and 3.
5. Based on the training 2, 3, and SNS survey, the student will propose ways to advertise that will appeal to people in China and the student' home country who are interested in lacquer.
6. Based on training 2, and 3, the student will propose a new product idea that will appeal to people who are interested in lacquer in China and the students' home countries.
7. The student will report to the employees in the form of a report on what you have learned throughout the internship.
