Through the touch of Washi fiber and bare skin, we have pursued this unique fiber as the sustainable quality. Our commitment is to spread our Washi yarn and cloth to all over the world while we keep introducing the nature-driven healthy lifestyle through this direct contact. While we received patents through the cloth, the yarn and its finished products which could generate the maximum benefits of the nature from washi, we internationally started this activity since January 2016.

Role

Overview

Our goal is to gain information on how washi fibers are used in the internship student's home countries, including actual local voices, as well as information on the fiber and washi fiber consumption markets and shoe factories. In addition, we would like to know how washi fibers can solve the problems in the internship student's home countries. We expect the internship student to have an interest in textiles and be willing to learn.

Responsibilities

-Learn about washi fiber and how it is used in Japan and around the world.
-Learn about the company's philosophy, thoughts on the products it sells, and the appeal and features of its products, and write a report.
-Research and write a report on the textile consumption market and Japanese paper fiber consumption market in the internship student's home country.
-Research on factories for shoes and other products in the internship student's home countries, and research on the market for building manufacturing factories.
-Reporting on fibers used in the life and culture of the internship student's home country, finding problems with the fibers, and thinking about how the products can solve the problems.
